Full course description
EAL/D identification and assessment as a system-wide priority is the first step in determining students’ English language proficiency phases in order to improve academic results. CSPD data underrepresents the linguistic and cultural diversity of our students and families (12.8% ESL in 2022). Therefore the objective is to obtain EAL/D identification and assessment data in all schools by the August census and as an accurate, ongoing yearly data collection. This is a crucial first step in ensuring EAL/D students' access to NESA curricula is maximised and CSPD receives appropriate resource funding.
